Aaron Berger, PhD, MPH is a research scientist for the Impact Evaluation Unit, where he designs and conducts studies of human services programs with expertise in observational research. Prior to joining the IEU, Dr. Berger was a Data Scientist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota where he focused on procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of medical cost management programs. Dr. Berger earned a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. His dissertation evaluated the effects of school policies on child and adolescent health. He earlier earned a Master of Public Health in epidemiology with a minor in biostatistics from the University of Minnesota, and a BS in Environmental Science and BA in Environmental Policy from Drake University.
