Survey of Policy Makers

Minnesota Results First conducts an annual survey of legislative, county, and executive decision makers to gather opinions on the importance, satisfaction, and usefulness of evidence in budget and policy decisions. Most survey respondents indicate having good information about program effectiveness is very important (85%). Yet, only a small percentage are very satisfied with the information on program effectiveness they currently have access to (9%).

Respondents include county administrators, managers, directors, and coordinators, elected county and tribal officials (auditors, commissioners, treasurers), legislators, legislative staff, and state executive branch staff. Results First will continue to survey this group to measure the impact of the initiative.
