Survey of Policy Makers
Minnesota Results First completed the third annual survey of legislative, county, and executive decision makers to gather opinions on the importance, satisfaction and usefulness of evidence in budget and policy decisions. Almost all survey respondents would find benefit-cost analysis useful in decision making (95%), and indicate having good information about program effectiveness is very important (94%). Yet, only a small percentage are very satisfied with the information on program effectiveness they currently have access to (11%).
Respondents include county administrators, managers, directors, and coordinators, elected county officials (auditors, commissioners, treasurers), legislators, legislative staff, and state executive branch staff. Results First will continue to survey this group to measure the impact of the initiative.
