Advantage Value for Diabetes

If you have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, this benefit lowers your costs for covered diabetes care and medicine. You qualify if you:

  • Have Minnesota Advantage Health Plan (Advantage) coverage.
  • Have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

You do not need to sign up. It's part of your medical plan coverage. You get this benefit after you:

  • Get covered diabetes care through Advantage.
  • Fill a prescription for a qualifying diabetes medicine.

Your health plan will lower your costs for covered diabetes care.

It may take more time for your prescriptions costs to be lower. Lower copay amounts will begin after CVS Caremark confirms your enrollment in the AVD program.

Watch for a letter from Blue Cross or HealthPartners about the program.
