Sam Grant joined MAD in 2023. Previously, she spent 17 years at the University of Minnesota Extension designing and evaluating programs for youth workers and with youth in the Minnesota 4-H program. Sam wants evaluation to be exciting and has focused past teaching on how to present data effectively through visual reports and presentations.
Sam thrives in environments where she has to think on her toes and expect the unexpected. She has played multiple roles—from youth worker to team builder to researcher to strategic planner. No matter the role, she brings her formal training in planning, evaluating, and implementing evidence-based programs. She has skills in both formative and summative evaluation, using multiple methods such as surveys, observation, and focus groups.
Some of Sam’s early projects with MAD include:
Sam has a master’s degree in human development from Washington State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and special education from Augsburg College.
