We are knowledgeable
MAD consultants don’t just have decades of state government consulting expertise. We also bring experience from business, education, nonprofit, and local and federal governments.
Our experience is deep, but also broad. We have advanced degrees and backgrounds in public policy, political science, public administration, public heath, public affairs, industrial organizational psychology, nonprofit management, business administration, education, and writing.
MAD’s business and operations team uses their expertise in budgeting, contracting, project coordination, financial analysis, and document production to help make our high-quality work reliable, accessible, and fiscally responsible.
We are relationship builders
MAD staff know we can’t do this work alone. We believe strong relationships create strong results. We build trust through empathy, clear communication, and inclusive engagement.
Our team includes skilled facilitators who work with communities, advisory groups, boards, and government leaders to create shared understanding. We help people process complex issues, work through differences, and find solutions they can act on.
We ground our work with respect for the people and organizations we serve.
We are curious problem-solvers
MAD staff are life-long learners. We approach problems with curiosity and determination. We don’t shy away from complex challenges; we embrace them. Consultants are skilled in a wide range of data collection and analysis techniques. We also model problem-solving throughout our facilitation work, making sure to tailor our approach for each group’s needs. We keep developing our skills so we can help clients solve tough, contemporary problems.
We aren’t only learners. We are teachers, too. MAD staff offer regular training on group facilitation and Results-Based Accountability.
