A new warning message has been added to Strategic Sourcing Events. When an event with a single line is posted for bidding, some suppliers have been selecting the “I Decline to Bid on this Line” checkbox in error when they are adding their pricing information using a price schedule or attachment. This causes problems when buyers attempt to award the event. A new warning message has been added to assist suppliers in placing their bids correctly.
If a supplier selects the “I Decline to Bid on this Line” checkbox on a single line event, they will receive a warning message:
WARNING: Do NOT select the “I Decline to Bid” checkbox if you are attaching a Price Schedule as part of your bid response. You must enter a value of at least $0.01 in the “Your Unit Bid Price” field for your bid to be considered, even when attaching a Price Schedule.
Suppliers must select the OK button to close the warning. They can still save their bid with the checkbox selected if they choose, but they have been made aware that the bid may not be considered.
