Economic Development Programs

While multiple state agencies engage in activities intended to spur economic development, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is the state's principal economic development agency. DEED programs promote business recruitment, expansion, and retention; international trade; workforce development; and community development. For information on key DEED economic development programs, see the DEED website on economic development transparency. Additional information on DEED programs-including the Business Development Public Infrastructure program-is available on DEED's annual program summaries website.

In addition, the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) also manages economic development programs specifically targeted to Northeastern Minnesota. For more information see the IRRRB website.
