Abra Pollock

Senior Management Consultant

Abra Pollock is a proven facilitator and organizational management specialist with 15 years’ experience in designing and leading workshops, meetings, retreats, assessments, and performance measurement systems for the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining MAD in 2018, Abra was the deputy director of the Strategy, Performance, and Capacity Building division at Social Impact, a mission-driven consulting firm based in Washington, DC. During her seven-year tenure there, Abra served diverse federal government and nonprofit clients both domestically and overseas. 

Consulting focus 

Abra focuses on facilitation, organizational development, and performance measurement. Abra is skilled in leading strategic planning, team building, organizational learning, and performance improvement engagements. She employs methods such as Appreciative Inquiry, Results-Based Accountability, business process mapping, cost-effectiveness analysis, logic modeling, Open Space Technology, adult learning methodologies, organizational capacity assessment, root cause analysis, theories of change, and trade-off analysis.

Client and project highlights 

During her time at MAD, she has worked on projects with agencies such as the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Health, Human Services, and Transportation and Minnesota Management and Budget, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, and the Legislative Water Commission. 

Abra loves complex facilitation assignments—helping people form strong teams, tackle tough issues, and work through differences. She facilitates teams to set their goals and objectives, then define measurable milestones to help them arrive there. She is passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). 

Educational background

Abra received an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a BA from the University of Chicago. She is certified in the Kirkpatrick Method of Training Evaluation.
