State of Well-being Champions
State of Well-being Champions (SWC) are a statewide network of employees who volunteer to improve the health and culture of workplaces with our State of Well-being programs. We act as liaisons between leadership and employees to talk about well-being programs and benefits.
What does a State of Well-being Champion do?
- Serve as a program advocate in the workplace and encourage others to get involved
- Spread the word about well-being programming and excite people, letting co-workers know where to join, how to participate, and why it’s important
- Act as go-to for basic questions about participating in our health and well-being program
- Suggest creative ideas that will encourage fellow members to get active and stay active
Well-being Champions play a key role in program success by:
- Providing feedback on improving the member experience across agencies and departments
- Helping reduce any frustrations among program participants
- Increasing co-workers’ engagement and program participation rates
Time Commitment
- Typically, champions dedicate a minimum of two hours per month (which includes one hour for a monthly meeting) in service to the well-being programming at their location.
