Labor Relations
The Labor Relations Division provides statewide leadership and support to state agencies in labor relations matters arising under the Public Employment Labor Relations Act, Minn. Stat. 179A. Our primary services include: (1) representing the State of Minnesota in negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements and compensation plans for executive branch employees; (2) representing state agencies in grievance arbitration and interest arbitration; (3) providing employee training on such topics as grievance processing, discipline, ethics, managing leaves, and labor contracts; and, (4) consulting with and advising management on issues related to discipline and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and plans.
