Affirmative Action

Minnesota Statute 43A.19 and 43A.191 govern the state agencies affirmative action program. Minnesota Management & Budget oversees the statewide affirmative action program.

The Equal Opportunity, Diversity & Inclusion (EODI) Team provides leadership and assistance in developing and implementing the affirmative action program.

Responsibilities in this area include:
  • Consultation, technical support, and training for State of Minnesota staff
  • Approve affirmative action plans (AAP) and monitor progress for state agencies
  • Advise the Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget on legislative policy initiatives and report to the legislature on affirmative action progress
