Advisory Task Force on Governance and Financing of Hennepin Healthcare System, Inc.
The 2026 Minnesota Legislature established an advisory task force to develop recommendations on the ownership, governance and financing of Hennepin Healthcare System, Inc. Legislative language also requires the task force to engage with public health leaders throughout the state and professionals and individuals with qualifications or expertise in certain areas.
The task force, with administrative support from the Health Subcabinet, will meet this fall to discuss and prepare a 2027 initial report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over health and human services finance and policy. A final report is due on Jan. 15, 2028.
