Vision Plan

The Vision plan helps you pay for eyeglasses, contacts, Lasik and more. You can sign up for the vision plan even if you waive SEGIP's medical insurance. 

• Coverage is through the MetLife Superior Vision Network. 

• Participants in Minnesota who do not have access to Superior Vision Network providers within 30 miles, have access to additional out-of-network benefits. For details and to confirm if the additional benefits are available to you, call MetLife Vision Customer Service at 1-833-EYE-LIFE (1-833-393-5433).
• Reminder: Your medical coverage pays for your annual eye exam. The vision plan helps pay for glasses, contacts, etc.

During Open Enrollment you may:

• Sign up for vision coverage.
• Add your spouse, children or other dependents to your coverage. You must send SEGIP proof that they are eligible for coverage. This article tells you the steps to take.
• Drop your coverage.
• Drop dependents from your coverage.
