With 520 employees, Delta Air Lines Iron Range Customer Engagement Center handles millions of reservations per year from the airline's premier customers. With assistance from IRRRB, the facility has operated in Chisholm since 1996, and earned a reputation as one of Delta's top performing customer engagement centers.
Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing's 135 employees remanufacture electronic components for automobile, agriculture, and off-road heavy equipment markets across the world. With IRRRB assistance, the company has grown to become one of the nation's premier electronic component remanufacturers, operating from an expandable state-of-the-art 60,000 square-foot facility adjacent to Range Regional Airport in Hibbing.
Hibbing Fabricators manufactures metals products for medical, aerospace, computer, and industrial applications. Some are used in heart monitoring equipment, in Boeing and Cirrus aircraft, and by the Department of Defense. With IRRRB assistance, Hibbing Fabricators has been in business for more than 30 years in Hibbing.
From its beginnings in the 1960s in a Chisholm garage, the 120 employees at Minnesota Twist Drill today manufacture drill bits that are sold in all 50 states and internationally. Producing more than 21 million drill bits annually, Minnesota Twist Drill is one of America's top three drill bit manufacturers.
Susan Schurke and her Wintergreen Northern Wear employees produce high-performance outdoor clothing at the company's manufacturing and retail sales facility in downtown Ely. With help from IRRRB, Wintergreen Northern Wear reopened in 2015 and is selling its high-quality active wear across the Midwest and beyond.
