2027 Insurance Benefits

Monthly Medical Premiums

Coverage for retirees 65 and older

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Coordinated Plan: $439.45
HealthPartners Medicare Group Solution: $548.50

You must have Medicare Part A and B to be eligible for coverage.

You will receive a separate invoice to cover any dependents under age 65. Review cost scenarios below for family medical coverage.

Coverage for retirees under 65

Individual (retiree, spouse, dependent or survivor): $1,110.22
Family (retiree or survivor and more than two dependents): $3,264.78

Also:

Go to the 2027 Primary Care Clinic (PCC) directory. Make sure your PCC will be in network. Check its 2027 cost level.
Call your plan administrator if you want to change your PCC. You'll find the number on the back of your plan ID card or on SEGIP's website.

Monthly Dental Premiums

Retiree or surviving spouse: $50.04
Retiree or surviving spouse and family, including dependents up to age 26: $148.08

Scam Reminder

Employees and retirees have received phone calls in the past from people claiming to be from SEGIP. These callers ask for personal information or tell employees they must change their benefits. SEGIP will never call and ask an employee or retiree to confirm their sensitive information or tell them they can get coverage elsewhere.

HANG UP if you receive a call stating they are from the State of Minnesota, Employee Insurance, or SEGIP. Call SEGIP at 651-355-0100 if you have questions about a phone call.
