Task Force on Holistic and Effective Responses to Illicit Drug Use

In the 2024 legislative session a task force on holistic and effective responses to illicit drug use was passed into law, and the Office of Addiction and Recovery was directed to administer that task force. The purpose of the task force is to review and analyze the reports on approaches to address illicit drug use in Minnesota prepared by Rise Research in accordance with legislation passed in the 2023 session. The task force must submit a report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees and divisions with jurisdiction over public safety, health, and human services on the work, findings, and recommendations of the task force. The task force must submit the report by February 15, 2025. The task force may submit additional information to the legislature.
