Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) has released the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) as well as the Legal Level of Budgetary Control (LLBC) supplement for the state of Minnesota for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023. These reports include the financial statements for the state and the disclosures necessary to accurately present the financial condition and results of operations for the fiscal year. MMB prepared the ACFR and LLBC supplement in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.50, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for governmental units.
The ACFR and the General Fund Schedule in the LLBC are audited by the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA). The OLA has issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the state of Minnesota’s financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2023. MMB has also submitted the ACFR to the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for consideration for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting . The state was awarded the Certificate for its ACFR for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022, representing the thirty-seventh consecutive year the state of Minnesota has received this award.
