Opioid Policy Response

Minnesota’s Opioid Epidemic Response (Minnesota Statute 256.042) directs MMB to evaluate programs related to education, prevention, treatment, and services for individuals and families affected by opioid use disorder. To accomplish this, MMB’s research team partners with the Opioid Epidemic Response Advisory Council, state agencies, counties, cities, tribes, and providers to conduct impact evaluations of selected programs funded through grants or the statewide opioid settlement agreement. These studies help policymakers and practitioners understand what is working and provide information that can produce better results for people in Minnesota. MMB also supports the Council in understanding areas of need and tracking annual performance measures.
