The Minnesota taxpayer receipt was developed by Minnesota Management and Budget, in consultation with the Minnesota Department of Revenue, under Minnesota Statutes 16A.067. The receipt estimates a taxpayer’s income, sales, tobacco, alcohol and motor vehicle fuel tax liabilities and then estimates that taxpayer’s share of state expenditures.
