Job Openings & Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS)

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) plays a crucial role in providing valuable information to policymakers, economists, investors, and job seekers across the United States through a series of economic reports. The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) provides information on the number of job openings, hires and separations for the nation and each state on a monthly basis, offering supplemental detail to the monthly employment and unemployment reports, and comparisons of the tightness of the labor market.

Starting in January 2026, JOLTS data will be released annually instead of monthly. This page will be updated every July or August when the newest JOLTS data is available.
