9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.		 Central Minnesota Economic Trends and Training This hybrid session will begin with a 30-minute presentation on current labor market and economic trends in Central Minnesota. The presentation will be followed by a 90-minute hands-on training where participants will learn how to navigate and use DEED’s LMI tools to find data on employment, wages, occupations, industries, and regional workforce trends.

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.		 Career Data for Educators This presentation is offered for any K-12 and postsecondary education teachers, counselors, deans, administrative staff, and other education support staff who are interested in learning more about those educational and career resources available through DEED's Labor Market Information Office. Main objectives of this presentation include:
1. Learning about DEED's Labor Market Information Office and resources available
2. Learning how to navigate to and using DEED's career tools and educational outcomes data tools
3. Asking questions pertaining to specific scenarios, industries, occupations, or fields of study

It will look at how the region's construction employment compares to the state, break down the industry by subsector, and dig into employment trends, workforce demographics, wages, and employment projections.

What type of education and skills sets are needed? This training is offered for any DEED and DEED partner staff who are interested in answering these types of questions. Emphasis will be on DEED Labor Market Information (LMI) data tools, with an additional look at outside resources that can assist with career exploration.
