This position exists to lead and supervise the grant payment requests, cash advance requests, financial statement reports and manage federal cash drawdown accounts. Under limited supervision/procedural control, this position provides responsible and mid-level financial management and accounting work for our moderate size department of approximately 1700 employees and over 50 locations, some of which are in Greater Minnesota, in collaboration with the Director of the Office of Contract and Grant Management (OCGM). This position will lead a team of three accounting officers and one accounting officer senior (team lead) with the advanced grant payments in their many day-to-day duties such as producing invoice voucher payments, overseeing federal fund drawdowns, overseeing grant cash advances, and resolving complex grant invoice payments and/or drawdowns. This position covers all DEED federal accounts involving the following: United States Departments of Labor, Education, Health, Small Business Administration, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Health and Human Services, Treasury, and Environmental Protection Agency. This position is telework eligible. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment.
