FAQs about MA and MinnesotaCare

MA may go back three months from the month we get your application to pay for past medical bills.

In some cases, you can have other health insurance and still get MA. MA may pay for expenses not covered by your insurance, including all or part of your insurance copays. MA may also pay the premium for your other insurance.

You cannot qualify for MinnesotaCare if you can get or are enrolled in certain types of coverage. You must apply to see if you qualify.
