PCA Provider Agency Billing Lab

Billing training is required by state law for non-Medicare certified personal care assistance (PCA) provider agencies to maintain Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) enrollment. Agencies must designate and report one person who is responsible for billing (DHS-6000) (PDF) their PCA services. This person must attend the one-day PCA Provider Agency Billing Lab either in person or through a webinar session. Other staff may also take the training, including owners, managing employees, or others.

Enrolled agencies may report and register their designated billing person to MHCP Provider Enrollment at any time. Whenever the agency appoints a new designated billing person, the agency must report and register the new designated billing person for the training.
