2026 Innovation grants RFP
DHS is accepting proposals from qualified applicants to support innovative strategies to improve outcomes for people with disabilities.
We will prioritize proposals that serve people who are eligible for or receive home and community-based services. We seek proposals that address four primary service areas:
- Integrated housing.
- Integrated, competitive employment.
- Transportation accessibility, safety and inclusivity.
- Community-centered and culturally relevant services.
The 2026 RFP includes two programs:
- Innovation Small Grant Program: Grants up to $60,000 per year.
- Innovation Large Grant Program: Grants up to $160,000 per year.
Applications for both programs consist of a two-step process. Applicants will submit a letter of interest (LOI) as the first step. If DHS deems the project ideas innovative, the state will invite selected applicants to submit a full proposal as a second step.
