Therapeutic Area - Insomnia

FDA approved indication

Indicated for the treatment of insomnia characterized by difficulties with sleep maintenance.

Criteria

• Patient has been diagnosed with insomnia AND
• Patient has failed zolpidem by ineffectiveness or intolerance AND
• Patient has been tried on doxepin liquid formulation (10mg/mL) and has shown therapeutic benefit AND
• Prescriber provides clinical rationale why doxepin liquid formulation cannot continue to be used
