“Connections: Community Listening Event” seeks public comment at Grand Rapids meeting

The Minnesota Department of Human Services wants to hear from users and providers of mental health, substance use disorder, deaf and hard of hearing and housing services on how to serve Minnesotans better.

  • Who: All interested community members, families, people who are or have received services, policy makers, and service providers.
  • What: A community meeting for people receiving services and providers of services for 
    • Prevention, treatment, and recovery from addictions and mental illness, 
    • The deaf and hard of hearing communities, 
    • and Housing services.
  • When: Nov. 8, 2017, 3 – 5 p.m.
  • Where: Itasca Community College, 1851 US-169, Grand Rapids
  • Why:  People often have many needs, but services don’t always work together. What are the connections between programs? How can we serve you better? The Minnesota Department of Human Services invites you to come and talk about the services people need and gaps in those services that need to be filled. The result of these meetings will be a report to help guide these services into the future.
