Economic supports, cash, food: Training

The Income Maintenance Training Information page contains the latest news and information about training for cash and food programs as well as employment services.

Web-based training is available in the Income Maintenance Learning Center under Search for Learning Activities.

The training tool kit, located on the department's Systems Information Resource (SIR) page, contains resources to assist eligibility workers in their daily work, with workbooks, guidebooks and self-directed PowerPoint presentations. It also includes required materials for some training courses. The Systems Information Resource (SIR) page requires a user ID and password. Contact your county or agency's security liaison to obtain access to SIR. 

This organization works with eligibility workers and case aides in all 87 counties of Minnesota. They coordinate training efforts, make suggestions to policy staff, and organize an annual conference for human services staff. 

Each year, in the fall, they hold a three-day conference for eligibility workers and case aides across the state to attend workshops hosted by Minnesota Department of Human Services staff. More information can be found on mfwcaa.org.

This organization strives to provide members with the tools to help better serve their clients through education, advocacy, and networking.

Minnesota Social Services Association Conferences are held annually, in the spring.
