Complete the application below if your residential program is interested in applying for department support for training program staff as certified facilitators of Not a Number prevention groups for youth. See www.love146.org/notanumber for information about the curriculum. Scholarships pay the full cost for individual staff recipient's attendance at a regional Facilitator Certification Training in summer 2022, and ongoing support, access to materials, and technical assistance from Love 146, Inc., during the first year of running Not a Number groups. After one year, if a certified facilitator has convened at least two groups and the residential program wants to continue offering groups, it works directly with Love 146 to recertify staff members. The annual recertification fee is $200.
A manager, supervisor, or staff member with knowledge of the program as a whole should complete this program application. The application and review process is facilitated by the multi-disciplinary Not a Number Implementation Team, with membership across Minnesota. Do not include private, client-specific information when providing examples in response to questions.
After submitting this application, send additional materials requested to Sarah.Ladd@state.mn.us. The application will be due in March 2022 according to the instructions in the email you received.
Programs will be contacted if members of the Not a Number Implementation need additional information. Applicants will be notified of selection and the individual staff application sent for completion. During this round, the department will award no more than 37 scholarships for training individual staff from selected facilities. Awards are based on priority criteria developed by the Not a Number Implementation Team. All facility staff awarded scholarships are required to complete the department’s commissioner-approved human trafficking training for residential program staff and leadership, prior to staff attending the regional Facilitator Certification Training.
Do you need help in completing this application? A member of the implementation team will answer questions or verbally walk you through completing the application.
