Minnesota’s child support programs serve more than 245,000 children and more than 352,000 parents. The Child Support Task Force is seeking public comments at a series of meetings around the state, including this one in Mankato, Minn.

  • Who: Members of the public who have experience with Minnesota's child support program
  • When: Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, from 4-6 p.m.
  • Where: South Central Technical College, 1920 Lee Blvd., Conference Center C, North Mankato, Minn.
  • What: Share experiences with the child support program and make suggestions for improvements. Comments are limited to five minutes per person to allow enough time for everyone to share their thoughts.
  • Why: Task force members want to hear from the public as they continue their work to make recommendations to the Minnesota Department of Human Services on maintaining and improving Minnesota's child support guidelines.
The last of these public comment meetings is on Nov. 29 in Coon Rapids, Minn. Members of the public who have questions about these meetings should email the task force at For more information, visit the task force webpage:

The Child Support Task Force was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2016; it must submit a report to the Minnesota Legislature in February 2018.
