Every child needs financial and emotional support and every child has the right to support from both parents. Minnesota's child support program benefits children by enforcing parental responsibility for their support.
On January 1, 2023, a number of changes to the Minnesota child support guidelines go into effect. The changes are based upon the recommendations of the Minnesota Child Support Task Force and include a new basic support table.
