Minnesota’s child support programs serve more than 245,000 children and more than 352,000 parents. The Child Support Task Force is seeking public comments at a series of meetings around the state, including this one in Brainerd, Minn.

  • Who: Members of the public who have experience with Minnesota's child support program
  • When: Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, from 4-6 p.m.
  • Where: Crow Wing County Land Services, 322 Laurel St., Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 (lower level), Brainerd, Minn.
  • What: Share experiences with the child support program and make suggestions for improvements. Comments are limited to five minutes per person to allow enough time for everyone to share their thoughts.
  • Why: Task force members want to hear from the public as they continue their work to make recommendations to the Minnesota Department of Human Services on maintaining and improving Minnesota's child support guidelines.
Public comment meetings are also scheduled for Oct. 25 in Mankato, Minn. and Nov. 29 in Coon Rapids, Minn. Members of the public who have questions about these meetings should email the task force at DHS.MNChildSupportTF@state.mn.us.
