MNIT’s Wide Area Network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) services connect agency sites to Minnesota’s Network for Enterprise Telecommunications (MNET), the Internet, and to MNIT Enterprise Data Centers. These connections provide access to applications and information essential for day-to-day business.
MNIT offers a comprehensive range of service offerings designed to ensure secure and reliable access to productivity tools and business data for workstations, end user software, and mobile devices. MNIT also provides enterprise application services to assist our business partners in creating and managing custom solutions, featuring notable services such as Artificial Intelligence, Salesforce, Geospatial, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
MNIT’s Hosting Services offer our partners a highly available and secure environment, licensing, and management tools needed to systematically organize, store, and retrieve data. The services promote data integrity and facilitate efficient data management that supports a variety of common database management systems on both distributed and mainframe platforms.
MNIT Security Services protect the state against malicious threats and protect state systems and data from unauthorized access, use, modification, or destruction. Most security functions that achieve those goals are embedded in other services provided by MNIT Enterprise. Optional security services are also available to meet the needs of state agencies as the need arises.
MNIT Voice Services provide the reliable technology tools and support for state employees to communicate with customers, agency partners, and each other. These services cover a wide spectrum of complexity, from advanced Contact Center systems for managing high call volumes to interpretation services that address the unique needs of Minnesotans.
MNIT offers Enterprise Web Management services that allow agency staff to build, launch and maintain their own websites in an environment with robust tools for monitoring site health and web traffic. Static web hosting provides a platform for simpler websites. The Cloud Application Firewall secures web applications and data that may contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII). These services are the building blocks for effective and secure public-facing web content.
