Esri Enterprise License Agreement FAQs

This license agreement:

• Reduces product and support costs for Esri software for participating agencies from the State of Minnesota. 
• Coordinates Esri software updates more efficiently.
• Provides for the dissemination of GIS data, techniques and knowledge among participating agencies.

Yes. Each participating agency is allocated a certain number of named users and credits in ArcGIS Online, based on their number of Esri ArcGIS users.

In order to keep support costs low for the license agreement, Esri customer support is restricted to authorized individuals from each participating agency.

The current contract is in effect from October 2018 through September 2021. Contracts are typically renegotiated every three years.

A variety of Esri products are included in the enterprise license agreement, such as ArcGIS for Desktop, ArcGIS for Server and ArcGIS Online.
