What does a potential career path look like at MNIT?
Will MNIT sponsor my work visa?

What is telework?
Telework is a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work on a scheduled regular, recurring basis at a telework location that is not the employee’s permanent/principal work location.
Do you offer internship opportunities?
We do not have a formal internship program. You may look for student worker opportunities, they may potentially be used for internship credits depending on the requirements for your school, the work the position is responsible for, and if the supervisor/manager can meet the requirements.
Do I need to meet all the minimum qualifications?
Yes, your resume must show how you meet all the minimum qualifications, or we are unable to consider you. These are not flexible.
How long does it take to fill a position?
Each position will vary, an average is 2-3 months from the time you apply to the time you could be starting.
I am working towards obtaining my degree, when can my degree count towards the minimum qualifications?
Starting one month before your anticipated graduation date your degree will be accredited towards the minimum qualifications. If required to meet the minimum qualifications, you would not start until after your degree is obtained.
Will MNIT call me?

Is my application information public?
Per Minn. Stat. 13.43 subd 3: "Applicant data. Except for applicants described in subdivision 5, the following personnel data on current and former applicants for employment by a government entity is public: veteran status; relevant test scores; rank on eligible list; job history; education and training; and work availability. Names of applicants shall be private data except when certified as eligible for appointment to a vacancy or when applicants are considered by the appointing authority to be finalists for a position in public employment. For purposes of this subdivision, "finalist" means an individual who is selected to be interviewed by the appointing authority prior to selection"
