Cory Stubbendick is the Chief Business Technology Officer (CBTO) for the Minnesota Department of Revenue and acting CBTO for the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA). Prior to his role as CBTO, Cory's roles at Minnesota IT Services included Deputy CBTO for MDVA, IT Director for MDVA and Minnesota Department of Health, and Client Relationship Manager. While Cory was CBTO working with MDVA, he hired an exceptional technical team, developed a great culture and working environment, established a trusted relationship with MDVA management, and created a comprehensive Project Management Office (PMO) and IT Governance Process.
Cory has more than 25 years of private- and public-sector experience in the technology industry. His diverse IT background includes operations, management, sales, client relations, and service level management. Before joining the state, he spent over 8 years with Siemens Business Services, Inc., as a Program and Client Executive where he responsible for overall account leadership of multiple clients throughout the United States.
Cory received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
