Tyrone (Ty) Spratt is the Chief Business Technology Officer (CBTO) for the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). With over two decades of government experience, Ty has held various business and IT positions across state government. Most recently he served as the CBTO for MNIT partnering with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), the Board of Animal Health (BAH), and the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI).
Ty has also had stops at the Minnesota Departments of Human Services (DHS) and Natural Resources (DNR), city and county government, and UnitedHealthcare. Known for his commitment to serving the people of Minnesota, Ty has been part of many large IT endeavors including Frontline Worker Pay, Workers Comp Campus, MDA modernization, and IT consolidation. He earned his undergrad and MBA from Metropolitan State University.
