Assistant Commissioner of Digital Technology
Jenna Covey serves as MNIT’s Assistant Commissioner of Digital Technology. In her role, Jenna focuses on building strategies for how the State coordinates and deploys online services to Minnesota citizens and creates MNIT’s communications strategies. Previously, Covey served as Director of New Media for Governor Mark Dayton, where she developed strategic statewide digital campaigns around the administration’s top policies.
Jenna previously worked in the private sector as a branding and digital strategy consultant for small businesses across Minnesota, and spent several years working in the non-profit sector on financial development and public relations. Covey received her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University.
