Brian serves as the Chief Business Technology Officer (CBTO) overseeing the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Explore Minnesota (Tourism), the Department of Veterans Affairs, Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and associated boards, and the Department of Commerce. Prior to becoming CBTO, Allie served in a variety of IT rolls including data analyst, project manager and application development director. Before beginning his IT career, Brian worked in a variety of Economic Development business units including Unemployment Insurance, Workforce Development and Labor Market Information.
Brian attended the University of Minnesota Duluth receiving a BA in Economics with a minor in History. He also holds Mini MBA certification from the University of St. Thomas.
