George McNulty

Chief Business Technology Officer (CBTO)

George McNulty is the Chief Business Technology Officer (CBTO) for the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). George has more than 20 years of experience leading technology organizations and businesses within healthcare, government, and financial services organizations. Prior to joining the State of Minnesota, George served as the Chief Technology Officer at OneOme a precision medicine bio-informatics provider co-founded by Mayo Clinic. Previously, he served in Chief Information Officer positions at UnitedHealth Group and Aetna. 

Additionally, George was the managing partner of Caveo Technology, an IT consulting and software development company, which he led for nearly a decade. Caveo Technology was a Minnesota Professional and Technical Services Master Contract Vendor that provided technology services for multiple State of Minnesota Agencies, including the Department of Human Services. 

George graduated with a degree in computer engineering from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and attended graduate school at the University of St. Thomas. He resides in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, with his wife and two children and is an avid cook, traveler, and history buff.
