Pancho Henderson serves as the Chief Business Technology Officer (CBTO) at the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS). As the lead IT and technology contact for DPS, Mr. Henderson fosters a “One Minnesota”/“One MNIT” culture and coordinates the IT infrastructure and project development for the agency. DPS serves the state in the areas of law enforcement, crime victim assistance, traffic safety, alcohol and gambling, emergency communications, fire safety, pipeline safety, driver licensing, vehicle registration and emergency management.
A proud Minnesotan, Mr. Henderson comes to state government from the Metropolitan Council, where he served most recently as the Assistant IT Director, responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of the Met Council’s technology infrastructure systems. With 30 years of experience at the Met Council, he has worked on nearly every aspect of IT, including infrastructure, data centers, networks, and vendor relations. During his tenure, Mr. Henderson interacted with Minnesota IT Services on inter-agency projects that allowed fiber optic cables to run along light rail lines in Minneapolis and St. Paul, saving taxpayers thousands of dollars a year.
