Brooklyn Center — The 24th Annual Small and Disadvantaged Business Opportunities Council Government Procurement Fair will be happening on Thursday, April 20 at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center. Small businesses interested in doing business with government agencies and prime contractors are encouraged to attend this premier event. Coupling education with marketing strategies, this event will provide small businesses an opportunity to meet with representatives from federal, state, and local departments, commercial/prime contractors, and nonprofit organizations.
This in-person event will feature 47 exhibitors from federal and state government, non-profit service providers, and prime contractors. Over 20 workshops will be available to attend, providing information on the basics of selling to the government, as well current and developing trends in contracting with government agencies. The event is being sponsored by the Federal Executive Board’s Small and Disadvantaged Business Opportunities Council (SADBOC), in cooperation with the State of Minnesota’s APEX Accelerator (formerly PTAC).

The Basics of Selling to the Government, Selling to the State of Minnesota, Finding Opportunities, Looking for Gold in Public Federal Contracting Data, Protecting Our Nation’s Data, Understanding the GSA Federal Supply Schedule Program, Small Business Innovation Research and Technology Transfer Programs, Doing business with Defense Logistics Agency, Guiding Minnesota’s Manufacturers, The False Claims Act in Government Contracting, Med-Tech Manufacturing, How Does That Law Work Again, Legal Update for Small Business Government Contractors, Federal Government Subcontracting, Export Financing Programs, Federal Certifications (8(a); HUBZone; WOSB/EDWOSB; SDVOSB), TG/ED/VO Certification and Navigating the SWIFT Supplier Portal, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/MnUCP Certification, CERT & Section 3 Certification, Getting Registered in SAM.gov, MBE & WBE Certifications for Minority or Women Owned Businesses.
