Acquisition Courses

Scheduled trainings are live presentations (virtual or in-person).  Most of these require registration. 

Registration for these trainings will be completed in the Learning area (ELM) of Self Service. Authority for Local Purchase (ALP) Certification Program

This course provides the basics of State purchasing. Upon completion of the entire training session, you will be given an open book written exam and a link to the on-line SWIFT Strategic Sourcing class. 

How to Procure a Conference, Meeting, or Event

This training is designed to guide an ALP Buyer through the process and unique aspects of procuring a conference, meeting, or other similar event.

How To Solicit Construction Project

This training is designed to provide an ALP Buyer additional depth on soliciting construction projects including specific terms, conditions, and processes.

Purchasing Authority Overview

The goods and general services procurement overview is specifically designed for managers, supervisors, or end users who do not actually perform the purchasing function, but desire to know the basics of state purchasing. The overview may also be helpful as a review for ALP certified buyers.

Taking The Mystery Out Of Service Contracts

This service contract focused course provides a deeper dive into soliciting services such as janitorial, rubbish removal, snow removal, lawn service, window washing, laundry, vehicle repair, and other non-Professional/Technical.
