Hours

The Minnesota State Capitol building is open to the public MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM (effective February 17). Saturday hours are 10:00 AM3:00 PM. The building is closed on Sundays.

State Capitol Security Screening

Weapons screening will take place at the Capitol. The primary public entrance is located on the south ground/street level underneath the main Capitol steps. For more information, please visit the Department of Public Safety's webpage.

Rathskeller

The Rathskeller is open during legislative session only. It is located on the north side of the Capitol's basement level.

Access Information

The loading dock for the Capitol Building is at the Minnesota Senate Building, 95 University Ave. W., St. Paul, MN 55155.  Loading dock is on the north side of building on Sherburne Avenue. Loading dock can accommodate straight trucks only; no semi-tractor trailers
