Government Partners and Collaborators
The Office of Collaboration and Dispute Resolution is one of the several state and local government organizations that can be a resource to public sector agencies. Visit the websites listed below to learn more about each organization.
- Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) – The Association of Minnesota Counties is a voluntary, non-partisan statewide organization that has assisted the state’s 87 counties in providing effective county governance to the people of Minnesota since 1909. The association works closely with the legislative and administrative branches of government in seeing that legislation and policies favorable to counties are enacted. AMC also provides educational programs, training, research and communications for county officials.
- League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) - League of Minnesota Cities is a membership association dedicated to promoting excellence in local government. The League of Minnesota Cities promotes excellence in local government through effective advocacy, expert analysis, and trusted guidance for all Minnesota cities.
- Enterprise Talent and Development (ETD) – ETD is committed to helping state employees build skills, cultivate careers and develop as leaders. ETD works with state agencies to identify and align development needs at the agency, team, and individual level.
- Management Analysis and Development (MAD) - Management Analysis and Development (MAD) is a nationally recognized fee-for-service management consulting group providing custom-designed services to public service clients, including organizational planning and problem solving, analysis, meeting design, and facilitation. MAD has been helping state government work more effectively since 1985.
- Minnesota Employee Well-Being/RESOLVE Employee Assistance Program - Minnesota Employee Well-Being/ RESOLVE Employee Assistance program helps State of Minnesota employees at all levels develop the skills needed to support healthy workplace culture. They serves leadership, unions, teams, and human resources through coaching regarding employee and team productivity and behavior, guidance for challenging and sensitive situations, critical incident response and management and training.
Minnesota Bridge-Building Organizations
OCDR collaborates with a ride range of organizations in Minnesota who are working to resolve disputes, heal social divides, and build civic health. Read more about this network on the Projects page.
National Organizations
OCDR also connects with, learns from and promotes the work of organizations that engage in collaborative problem-solving and mediation, training in conflict resolution and bridging ideological and demographic divides. - Braver Angels - Braver Angels seeks to depolarize American politics. Their work is rooted in grassroots organizing. Volunteer leaders (supported by a small staff) leverage Braver Angels programs and unique organizing structure to impact community life and American institutions.
- Bridge Alliance - The Bridge Alliance is a coalition of ~100 organizations working together to promote healthy self-governance in our democratic republic. Bridge Alliance member organizations span the ideological spectrum, but are unified to work efficiently, outside arbitrarily defined political lines. The Bridge Alliance supports the democracy ecosystem and advances the healthy self-governance movement.
- Convergence – Convergence is a non-profit organization focused on solving social challenges through collaboration. They deep knowledge of policy and process and work with leaders and doers to move past divergent views to identify workable solutions to seemingly intractable issues.
- Listen First Coalition - Listen First Project connects the efforts of 500 Listen First Coalition partners bringing people together across divides by managing national campaigns and strategies for social cohesion.
- National Association for Family and Community Mediation (NAFCM) – NAFCM’s purpose is to support the maintenance and growth of community-based mediation programs and processes, to present a compelling voice in appropriate policy-making, legislative, professional, and other arenas, and to encourage the development and sharing of resources for these efforts.
- National Institute for Civil Discourse (NCID) - NICD is a center housed within the University of Arizona and which provides programming to increase civil discourse and engaged citizenship. A signature program includes Next Generation, a training that encourages elected officials to promote discourse and collaboration in state legislatures.
