Saint Paul - Small businesses seeking public contracting business opportunities and partnerships with prime contractors are invited to a free trade show. The 20th Annual SADBOC Government Procurement Fair brings together more than 60 public agencies and large prime contractors to share opportunities with smaller businesses.

More than 900 attendees are expected to attend the Thursday, April 18, 2019 event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Earle Brown Heritage Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center. There will be 21 free workshops on topics such as The Basics of Selling to the Government, Certifications with the State of Minnesota, and Cybersecurity Considerations for Small Business.

The SADBOC Procurement Fair is a partnership between the Federal Executive Boards’s Small and Disadvantaged Business Opportunity Council, Minnesota Department of Administration’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

These partnerships and trainings are successful. Since 2017, the Minnesota Procurement Technical Assistance Center has helped Minnesota businesses successfully compete for more than $300 million in public contracts from federal, state, and local agencies.
