Event: The Ins and Outs of Getting Government Records

SAINT PAUL — The Information Policy Analysis Division (IPAD) will be holding a public presentation at the end of August highlighting the topic of obtaining government records. There will be a 20-minute presentation by IPAD staff, followed by a 45-minute panel presentation and discussion.

The primary goal of this event is to inform the public of the many different ins and outs of government data, where to find it, and how to obtain it in reference to the Data Practices Act and other related data practices laws. 

Panelists include: 

  • Matt Ehling of Public Record Media, 
  • Mara Gottfried of the Pioneer Press, 
  • Tom Scheck of Minnesota Public Radio, and
  • Brandon Stahl of the Star Tribune.
