Work practices involving open flames or heat generating activities and the deactivation of fire protection systems are sometimes necessary to carry out your agency's preventative maintenance program or building renovations.
Every state workplace where these types of work activities occur must have dedicated policies, procedures, and permit systems in place to reduce the likelihood of fire damage and operational disruption.
Please visit RMD's website to explore our updated Hot Work and Impairment programs. The updated resources include agency guidelines, new permits, as well as sample policies you can customize to fit your facilities needs.
