State Road Salt Program

The State is currently gathering road salt contract details and requested quantities for the 2026–2027 winter season. Participation is open to all CPV members, though it is not mandatory.

Important: Only organizations that are members of the Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV) program may purchase road salt through this initiative. If your organization is not yet a CPV member and would like to join, visit Cooperative Purchasing Venture for more information. For questions about CPV membership, please contact Ms. Sherry Brown at sherry.brown@state.mn.us.

CPV members interested in participating in the 2026–2027 Road Salt Program should submit their agency’s information and requirements online to the State by close of business on April 3, 2026.
