Exterior Lights of State Capitol Darkened for Earth Hour

Prominent Saint Paul landmarks will participate in Earth Hour on Saturday, March 29 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.

ST. PAUL - The exterior lights of the Minnesota State Capitol Building will be darkened tomorrow, Saturday March 29 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. as part of the City of Saint Paul's recognition of Earth Hour.

All of the Capitol's ornamental and up-lighting will be extinguished for one hour during the annual energy conservation event. All pedestrian and security lighting will remain lit during this time.

This is the fourth year that the State Capitol Building has participated in the event. For more information about Earth Hour and other participating buildings in Saint Paul, please visit Saint Paul's Earth Hour webpage at: www.stpaul.gov/earthhour.
